All Things Cork
I'm excited to introduce my new product line of cork products!
What is cork fabric?
Cork shavings removed from the bark of the cork oak tree are transformed into ultra-thin sheets to produce cork fabric. Cork is a natural and sustainable material harvested from cork oak trees every nine years without harming or killing the trees. The bark of the trees naturally regenerates, making cork a renewable resource.
Cork fabric is sustainable, washable, stain resistant, durable, antimicrobial, and hypoallergenic, recyclable, and biodegradable.
The cork I use is sourced primarily from Portugal with some from Spain. Portugal is the world's number one cork producer. The manufacturer avoids the use of chemicals in the production process.
Easy to clean: Simply wash with mild soap and water! Also, should you notice bits of loose fabric threads, don’t be alarmed. This is normal with wear and is just from the cork backing (cotton/poly blend). The bits can be trimmed, or you can use a lighter to gently burn them away.
Important: If you purchased a clutch, purse, handbag, or wristlet. Any items with D-ring tab attachments do not attach heavy objects such as keys to the D-ring or you could ruin or pull the tabs away from the lining.
Items are available here now in my online shop and for sale at the craft shows I participate in.
